Description
Role Summary:GE People Operations have an exciting opportunity for a 12 month internship and are looking for a individual who has a key interest in progressing their career in the People (HR) Operations, HR Administration space. You will have the opportunity to learn in a complex corporate environment supporting the People (HR) Operations team in providing professional and pro-active support across the various employee life cycle processes while building key relationships with business, employees and HR.
Essential Responsibilities:Maintain employee documentation (personnel files/ labor contracts, additional agreements) in accordance with local labor legislation and Data Privacy regulations
Maintain HR internal database, ensuring highest standards of completeness, accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation
Comply with Standard Operating Procedures, update them as and when required
Manage HR document circulation in an appropriate and controlled manner
Ensure that high standards of accuracy and quality are maintained with appropriate controls in place, taking accountability for compliance with relevant legal and GE policy requirements
Develop strong working relationship with GE HR community through timely and accurate administration of HR processes, ensuring effective communication and early identification of requirements and any service issues
Proactively communicate with HR partners and customers to ensure timely resolution of transactions
Deliver on commitments, manage expectations and keep customers informed on progress - taking clear accountability and ownership throughout the process
Qualifications/Requirements:University degree with a specialization in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or Similar
Professional verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in IT skills including Excel, Word and Outlook
Ability to anticipate and resolve challenges
Strong sense of customer orientation.
Knowledge of local Labor regulations.
Proven ability to develop and maintain team and client relationships, both in immediate and remote contexts
Confidentiality and controllership mindset
Desired Characteristics:Success in a highly professional Customer Operations or HR Administration role, fast- paced, customer-oriented environment
Demonstrated project / process ownership and accountability
Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to work as part of a team
