Job Description At Sage, we are really proud of our Apprenticeship programmes, offering opportunities across many functions. Our Apprentices make up a vital part of our team and are given real responsibility along with support and coaching throughout the apprenticeship. As a Sage apprentice, you will have an exciting induction event, soft skill training throughout the year dedicated to apprentices, take part in Sage Foundation days to support our charities and even have a party at the end of the scheme to celebrate all of your amazing achievements.
This Apprentice role will involve supporting testing preparation and execution across our business, including getting involved in project work.
As an Apprentice QA Analyst, you will work closely with QA Analysts and Associates to create test artefacts and raise any issues that may unfold during a project test phase. The QA Apprentice’s primary focus will be on gaining the required skills and knowledge to become an effective and productive member of the Testing team and will design, develop and deliver high quality testing across our enterprise applications.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to pursue a long-term career in IT, you will be enrolled on an apprenticeship training course to give you the knowledge to succeed in the position, whilst being mentored by experienced members of the Sage team.

Key Responsibilities • Create test artefacts that maximise the efficiency of the test phase, cover all requirements and allow for a timely delivery.
• Accurately record and communicate issues found during test phases.
• Accurately record time spent on tasks.
• Adhere to team process' and testing standards.
• Seek out and act upon feedback from team members.
Skills, know-how and experience:
• Enthusiasm to learn and understand formal testing principles.
• Active and enthusiastic team player, able to take a proactive approach to the role to support the QA team.
• Good communication skills, logical thinker with attention to detail.
• Proactively take charge of your own development, fully participating in apprenticeship training and mentoring sessions.
To be eligible for this role you should have 5 GCSEs at grade A-C including English and Maths, or equivalent. Unfortunately, if you already have a degree or higher level qualification in IT you are not eligible for this particular apprenticeship.
